Safety situation in the region, including the vision of the US President Donald Trump Presidential Administration regarding the ceasefire in Ukraine and the achievement of a strong world, was discussed in Washington by Deputy Prime Minister Moldova Mikhai Popshay and Senior Director in the US National Security Council Andrew PIK.
As Moldipers reports, Pepshaya spoke about the events in the Transnistrian region, as well as the efforts of the Moldovan authorities to strengthen the security and stability of the Republic of Moldova.
Vice Prime Minister also emphasized the successes achieved in the diversification of energy and increasing the country’s stability, which is important aspects on the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
“We also discussed the upcoming parliamentary elections, and Andrew the peak highly appreciated the organization of the presidential election and the constitutional referendum, expressing the confidence that the parliamentary elections will also be organized in accordance with the advanced practice. We confirmed the firm commitment of the Republic of Moldova to remain a reliable US partner in the region,” Mikhay Popshoy said.
Mikhai Popshoy is on a working visit to the United States from March 29 to April 6. As part of the visit on March 29, the Foreign Minister of Moldova took part in the official opening ceremony of the Consulate General of the Republic of Moldova in Sacramento. On the same day, the opening of the Second Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in the United States took place in Chicago.
