Russia agreed with Azerbaijan to increase gas supplies for its domestic consumption, in the future it can also discuss co-launch supplies, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak said in an interview with TASS.
“with Azerbaijan there is an agreement on increasing supplies, since they still have a gas deficit. In the future, when they increase gas production, we will be able to discuss swaps,” he said.
Novak also noted that Russia is discussing the growth of gas supplies for domestic markets of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan against the background of an increase in their consumption of this type of fuel.
In addition, according to him, Russia in the long run can direct its natural gas to the markets of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
