The tenth package of European Union sanctions against Russia will not include new economic measures, but rather eliminate gaps in already introduced restrictions.
This was reported by the Politico newspaper with reference to diplomats.
According to several interlocutors of the newspaper, in terms of economic sanctions, we are not talking about a “real package”, but about adjusting existing restrictions, since “there are not many that could be added to a new package of measures.
The head of the European Commission Ursula von der Lyain previously stated that the tenth package of European Union sanctions against Russia, which Brussels plans to introduce by February 24, implies restrictions on 10 billion euros.
According to her, the new EU package will also close the gaps that are in previous sanctions.
