Development Of Turkmen-Japanese Relations Was Discussed In Ashgabat

In Ashgabat, a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanova with a special representative of the Japanese Foreign Ministry for Central Asia and the Caucasus Ishikawa Masaki took place. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The parties noted a high level of development of Turkmen-Japanese relations based on a regular political dialogue at the highest level. Priority areas were discussed to expand bilateral cooperation, as well as within the framework of regional and international structures. The significance of the dialogue “Central Asia+Japan” is emphasized.

Diplomats noted the effectiveness of inter -parliamentary interaction, in particular, the visit of the chairman of the Hulk Maslahata (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Japan in September 2022 will emphasize the visit

The parties discussed trade and economic cooperation. Positive experience in the gas chemical and transport sectors, including investment projects with the participation of both countries, was noted.

In addition, the parties discussed cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including joint events scheduled for the coming period. Diplomats noted the importance of continuing interaction through science and culture.
