Disconnection from SWIFT did not enter list of sanctions against Russia

Disconnection from the International Interbank System SWIFT did not enter the list of anti-Russian sanctions, which prepares the European Union in connection with the exacerbation of the situation around Ukraine, the Bloomberg Agency reports.

According to the agency, the disconnection of Russia from SWIFT is not considered due to two key factors. First, countries such as Germany and Italy oppose the adoption of such a measure due to concerns in the field of energy security. Secondly, the EU has a certain concern about the activation of other payment systems, in particular Chinese and Russian.
