Nutritionist Alexei Kovalkov on his YouTube channel said that excess weight can be lost by walking, but this must be done correctly – with a certain heart rate, RIA Novosti reports.

It is she who says that there is a process of adrenaline release, which helps burn fat. The doctor emphasized that Nordic walking can also be practiced.

“If you like walking with sticks, walk with sticks. There is no particular difference,” Kovalkov explained. However, he added that when walking with poles, one cannot gain sufficient speed for adrenaline to begin to be produced in the amount necessary for losing weight.

Sticks, according to the doctor, are necessary for older people so that they do not slip or fall.

“For older people – just walking, and there is no need to drive there in order to develop adrenaline,” the doctor emphasized.
