North Korea fired shots, allegedly from the rejection system of salvo fire, said the General Staff of the South Korean army.
According to Deutsche Welle, the South Korean military found it difficult to name the number of launched missiles and the range of their flight. As the representative of the presidential administration in Seoul noted, North Korea does not always immediately report on testing systems of reactive artillery systems, the shells of which fly at low altitude and at a short distance. At the same time, officials in South Korea previously expressed concern about the possible modernization of such weapons systems in the DPRK, since they pose a danger to large urban agglomerations in South Korea, located only 40-50 kilometers from the border.
It is noted that the current alleged test of the MLRC became the last in a series of tests of weapons North Korea this year. Experts believe that Pyongyang exerts pressure on the United States and South Korea in order to achieve weakening of international sanctions and other concessions.
