Donors promised to allocate $ 1.5 billion to aid of Sudan

Participants of the donor conference held on June 19 in Geneva promised to allocate $ 1.5 billion for humanitarian aid to Sudan and the countries of the region.

This was announced by the Deputy General Secretary of the UN on humanitarian issues Martin Griffiths.

“I am glad to report that today the donors announced the allocation of almost 1.5 billion dollars for humanitarian aid to Sudan and the region,” Griffithi said, speaking with the final speech at the event.

“This crisis requires constant financial support, and I hope that we can all preserve Sudan among our priorities,” Griffith said.

Donor conference in Geneva was jointly organized by Egypt, Germany, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the European Union.
