Two drones who tried to attack the Ain Al-Asad airbase in the province of Ambar in the west of Iraq, were shot down. According to RIA Novosti, INA reports this with reference to the statement of Iraqi security authorities.
According to the application, air defense systems on the air base managed to bring two drones on Sunday night.
Ain Al-Assad base is located 160 kilometers north of Baghdad. In June last year, the official representative of the commander-in-chief of Iraq Yahya Rasul said that this is the only base in the country where the military international anti-terrorism coalition led by the United States.
