In Dubai on November 30, the 28th conference of the parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) starts. 70 thousand delegations from various countries will take part in it.
The summit will be held from November 30 to December 12.
Turkey at the summit will be represented by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Erdogan is expected to make a speech on the first day of the summit, December 1, and will hold bilateral meetings with the heads of state and governments of some participating countries.
The parties will first conduct a global inventory of the Paris Agreement. This process should lead to the development of a high -level plan, which the international community will be able to be guided to achieve climatic goals.
Another task of the conference is to create the world’s first fund for the implementation of climatic purposes in order to help countries that have already suffered irreparable damage from the consequences of climate change, such as drought, floods and raising sea levels.
For the first time in the number of thematic days (December 3), “Health Day” will be included.
In addition, the “COP28 summit of the Vera Pavilion” will be held on the fields of the COP28 summit.
