In Iran, from March 15 to April 3, in connection with the Navruz holiday as a result of traffic accidents (accident), 838 people died. This was reported by TASNIM agencies with reference to the general director of the Iranian Police Road Directorate Timur Hosseini.
“Of the 97,144 traffic accidents that occurred in the country from March 15 to April 3, 698 ended death. 838 people were killed in these accidents, and 19,166 people were injured,” said Husyni.
According to the official, 76 people died in the province of Kerman, 72 – in Fars, 53 – in Khorasan -Revuevo and 51 – in Khuzestan.
Most of the accident occurred by negligence, as well as due to non -compliance with the speed limit, ”he added.
It is reported that in Iran on holidays on intercity tracks there is an increase in accidents.
