During strikes of Arab coalition in Yemen, UN building was damaged

During the coalition strikes on objects in Sana, the residential complex of the UN, the official representative of the UN Secretary General Stephen Duzharrika said, writes RIA Novosti.

“The Secretary-General strongly condemns the recent escalation of the conflict in Yemen, including the air strikes committed by Husitis on Friday, as well as the subsequent air strikes of the coalition in San, as a result of which eight peaceful killed residents, including five children and two women, “said Duzharrik.

According to him, “these air strikes also led to the damage to the residential complex of UN staff in San.”

“The Secretary General is deeply concerned about the reports of continuing air strikes around the city of Khodaid and about the attacks on the ports of Khodaid, who provide vital humanitarian aid to the Yemen population,” he indicated.

As Duzharrik noted, the Secretary General calls for a rapid and transparent investigation of these incidents to attract the perpetrators to the answer.
