Dushanbe And Beijing Discussed Creation

Tajikistan and China are considering the possibility of turning the new Pomir-Agvut air corridor into a full-fledged transit route that can attract international airlines. This was reported by the Avesta agency.

The topic was discussed in Dushanbe at the sixth meeting on coordination of communication systems, navigation and air traffic control (CNS/ATM) between the two countries.

The negotiations were attended by Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan Aziz Nabizoda, General Director of the Tajikaeronavigation State Unitary Enterprise Loik Begijonzoda, Deputy Head of the Civil Aviation Administration of China Maing, Ambassador of China to Tajikistan Ji Shumin, representatives Southern Airlines.

The parties discussed the prospects for using the corridor as a transit bridge between Asia and Europe.

It is expected that the implementation of the project will give an impetus to the development of aviation infrastructure and increase the volume of air transportation.

In addition, the Chinese delegation got acquainted with the work of the Tajik enterprise to ensure aeronautical services, visiting the dispatch tower and the office premises of Tajikaeronavigation.
