On Wednesday, June 26, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon accepted the chapter in the OSCE Foreign Ministry of Malta Yana Borg. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting discussed the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan with the OSCE and Malta.
“From the first days of establishing relations with the organization, we expressed readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation,” Rahmon emphasized.
The parties discussed a set of relevant regional and global problems, as well as the expansion of military-political, economically and environmental relations within the framework of the OSCE.
The close cooperation of the organization participating countries in the prevention and reduction of the negative consequences of climate change – unprecedented warming, flooding, prolonged drought, fire and other natural disasters.

In continuation of the conversation, the parties exchanged views on solving security problems, the fight against cybercrime and the prevention of the Internet abuse in order to promote and campaigning extremism, radicalism and violence.
In the context of bilateral ties, it was expressed to satisfy cooperation within the framework of international organizations, especially the OSCE and the European Union.
Another topic of conversation was the discussion of the expansion of the relations of Tajikistan and Malta in areas of mutual interest, including inter-parliamentary, trade, investment, entrepreneurial, tourist and cultural and humanitarian relations.
