In an interview with Anadol, Van Den Brooke emphasized that participating in such an organization is a real pleasure: “Last year I got a great pleasure. The program is similar, we have good preparations for sprints. At each stage we can achieve a result. I am looking forward to this. I don’t feel the pressure as the current champion. We have more applicants for the general. The test will make the race more difficult.

Answering a question about celebrities such as Mark Kavendish and Yasper Filipsen, who achieved success in Turkey, Van Den Brooke noted: “Yes, they are really outstanding sprinters. But I am more focused on the overall standings – this is my main goal.”

The Dutch athlete also shared his impressions of Turkey and its culture. “The people here are very kind and sincere, and interest in the cycle is amazing. I love Turkish cuisine. In October I came here for the weekend – and the food left an unforgettable impression. My favorite is Lahmadzhun,” he said.
