Diana Dymchenko, representing Azerbaijan in the academic rowing, took part in the Silver Skiff International Regatta in Italy.
In total, 623 rowers of different age groups from 26 countries participated in the competition. In a one -stage regatta, rowers overcame a distance of 11 kilometers.
Dymchenko succeeded in an academic rowing in a single boat among women. She overcame a distance of 11 kilometers in 44 minutes 54 seconds. Dimchenko, who was only 8 seconds from the winner, came to the finish line of the second, winning a silver medal.
The Silver Skiff tournament was first held in 1992 in Turin. About a thousand rowers participate in the regatta annually. Dymchenko has been participating in the tournament since 2015. She won once in the overall standings and three times – in her category.
