Earthquakes In Myanmar Turned Historical City Of Ava Into Ruins

The historical city of Ava in the Mandalai region received significant damage as a result of earthquakes with magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 points that occurred in Myanmar.

According to Myanmar Now, as a result of the earthquake, the historical part of the city, including pagodas (Buddhist, Hindu or Taoist structure of religious architecture) and objects of religious architecture were seriously affected.

Three people died as a result of the collapse of the observation tower in the popular tourist town of Tada-U near the historical city of AVA, located about 10 kilometers from the mandalay, second largest city in the country.

It is reported that in the Tada-U region, where the earthquake was most strongly felt, more than 300 people died.

Local residents reported that buildings were hit in the village, some people are still under the rubble.

On March 28, in the central part of Myanmar, two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 occurred. The tremors were felt by the inhabitants of Thailand and a number of neighboring countries.

The number of earthquakes who died as a result of April 3 increased to 3145 people, and the victims – up to 4589. Search and rescue work continues.
