The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is ready to support Mongolia in the implementation of projects in the field of green development and renewable energy sources (VIE).
This was stated by EBRD Odil Rena-Basso during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsanname-Erdnen on the fields of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Montsame reports.
In turn, the head of the Mongol government noted that over the past 17 years, the EBRD has provided financing in the form of loans and investments of a total of 137 projects of state and private sectors of Mongolia, which has made a valuable contribution to the diversification and development of the country’s economy.
OUUUN-Erdnene expressed gratitude for the joint implementation of the project for the construction of two additional lanes on the Ulaanbaatar-Garhan highway, as well as the intention to expand further cooperation, in particular, to jointly implement the current projects of the capital’s road infrastructure, the construction of transitions, metro-plate roads, and port roads and modernization of border crossings.
Interlocutors also discussed projects implemented in the field of renewable renewal. It is noted that the successful implementation of projects in the field of wind energy will become an important contribution to the transition of Mongolia to green energy.
