Eco-absorption: territory at reservoir Gune-Zaglas was cleared of domestic waste

At the initiative of the subsidiary of a closed joint-stock company Azergold, a limited liability company Daşkəsən Dəmir Filiz and, with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, an environmental action was held around Güney-stall reservoirs in Dashkesan Raonel.

Guinea-Zangla’s reservoir is 8 kilometers south of Dashkesan, between the villages of Hoshbolag and Zales, the Valley of the River Gosgar. The reservoir was built in 1969 in order to meet the needs of the Azerbaijani mining plant for the processing of ore in technical water in the production of concentrate with a wet method. At that time, about 3 million cubic meters of water from the reservoir were used for the production of 1 million tons of concentrate. The volume of water required for the planned production of 1.2 million tons of concentrate in the future is 3.6 million cubic meters.

At the moment, the necessary measures are being taken to increase the total water and water protection of the reservoir, which is on the balance sheet of the company.

In the framework of the action dedicated to September 18 – the International Day Cleaning Day, representatives of CJSC Azergold and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Territory around the reservoir was purified from various household waste. The collected waste was aimed at recycling, and various scoreboards calling for the environment were installed on the territory.

In the framework of the action in order to increase the population of fish with the participation of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, Chairman of the Board of Azergold Zakira Ibrahimova, Director of Daşkəsən Dəmir Filiz Ltd. Mamedov, Forers were released in the reservoir.

International Day Cleaning the coast is a calendar of large-scale campaigns for cleaning the shores of reservoirs. Over the past 30 years, more than 100 countries of the world annually celebrate this day. For this purpose, tens of thousands of people around the world volunteered to cleanse their lands.
