On Monday, October 25, the President of Egypt ADB al-Fatti AS-SISI announced the abolition of the state of emergency introduced in the country in 2017, reports NewsCo.il.
The appropriate statement, he posted on its official page on Facebook.
“For the first time in many years I decided to cancel the extension of the state of emergency in the country,” wrote AS-Sisi.
Note that the PE regime was introduced in Egypt after the terrorist attacks in the churches of Alexandria and Tanta, which took 45 lives. The head of state extended it every three months.
Egyptian Constitution limits a state of emergency in three months, but allows you to extend the regime unlimited number of times. This measure, as the Egyptian media notes, is designed to ensure the safety of citizens, facilitate the armies and police fighting terrorists.
