As a result of the fire that broke out in the police department of the city of Ismailia in the northeast of Egypt, 38 people were injured.
According to the Egyptian news agency Mena, a large fire in the police department broke out in the morning.
Civil defense forces arrived at the scene. Fire managed to take control.
The official representative of the Ministry of Health of Egypt, Khusam Abdulgaffar, said in social networks that 50 ambulances were sent to the scene.
According to him, the doctors assisted 12 victims on the spot, another 26 people were taken to medical facilities. Seven of the victims have already been discharged from the hospital, the representative of the Ministry of Health noted.
According to the Egyptian media, the fire that broke out in the police department in the city of Ismailia for an unknown reason covered the entire building. Part of the building collapsed, the media write.
