Egypt: Tomb Of Pharaoh Is 3500 Years Old

In Egypt, the tomb of the pharaoh Tutmos II (1493-1481 BC) was found in Egypt, whose age is 3500 years.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt, excavations were carried out in the city of Luxor with the participation of the Egyptian-British archaeological mission, organized by the Higher Council of the Antiquities of Egypt and the new state research institution.

The department noted that this is “the last lost tomb of the kings of the eighteenth dynasty of Egypt (c. 1550/1549-1292 BC)”.

The burial was discovered in 2022 during excavations and archaeological research in the Favan mountains.

This is the first tomb of the kings, found from the discovery of the tomb of Faral Tutankhamun in 1922, ”said the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt Sheriff Fethi, whose words are given in the message.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Higher Council of Antiquities of Egypt, Mohammed Khalid, said that some fragments of the vessels found in the tomb have inscriptions with the name of Tsar Tutmos II, as well as the name of his wife Hatshepsut, which confirms the fact of who belongs to the remains. < /p>

Khalid called the detection of the tomb of the pharaoh “one of the most important archaeological discoveries of recent years”.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Higher Council of Antiquities of Egypt and the head of the Egyptian mission, Mohammed Abdulbadi, said that the tomb is in poor condition, which is most likely associated with a flood that occurred shortly after the burial.

Preliminary studies showed that the main contents of the tomb were transferred to another place after the flood occurred, ”he said.
