Egyptian President: Ankara And Cairo Can Open New Page In Relationship

Mutual visits to the highest level between Turkey and Egypt reflect the desire of the parties to put the beginning of a new page in friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

This was stated in his account on the social network of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who arrived today in Ankara on an official visit at the invitation of the Turkish colleague of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“My today’s visit (to Ankara) and the previous visit of Mr. President Erdogan to Cairo reflect the desire to put the beginning of a new friendship and cooperation between Egypt and Turkey,” the politician wrote.

The Egyptian leader expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to visit Turkey and hold a meeting with the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi emphasized the presence of deep historical connections between Egypt and Turkey. He noted that strong political ties were established between Turkey and Egypt since the founder of the Turkish Republic of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk announced their establishment.

The President of Egypt noted that Turkey and Egypt are acting in the interests of the fraternal peoples of the two countries, based on their important role in the regional and international arena.
