President of Egypt Abdelfatta al-Sisi said that his country rejects any attacks on Syrian territory.
According to the press service of the Egyptian leader, As-Sisi first met with Syria President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Cairo on the fields of the league summit of the Arab states.
During the negotiations, he emphasized that Egypt attaches great importance to the support of the Syrian people and the realization of its aspirations. As-Sisi noted that in order to ensure stability and development, it is necessary to take into account the will and choice of Syrians.
The President of Egypt also emphasized the importance of launching a comprehensive political process that would cover all layers of Syrian society and would not exclude any of the parties.
As-Sisi confirmed that Egypt advocates preserving the unity and territorial integrity of Syria, and also condemns any attacks on Syrian land.
In turn, the Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa said that Damascus attaches important importance to the discovery of a new page of fraternal relations with Egypt and other Arab countries.
He expressed the desire to cooperate with Egypt to protect the interests of the two peoples and the entire Arab world, and also noted the efforts of Cairo to support the Arab unity, the territorial integrity of the states of the region and ensure stability.
