Egypt was among the first states recognizing the independence of Azerbaijan, and our country attaches great importance to the further development of bilateral relations with Egypt. Documents signed between the parties to this day have a positive effect on the continuation of the deepening of the interaction of the two countries. As Milli Majlis, the Chairman of the Milli Majlis Sakhib Gafarov, was told by Haqqin.az, the chairman of the Milli Majlis Sakhib Gafarov at a meeting with the Egypt Ambassador in Azerbaijan Ibrahim Akhmed Ibrahim.
Sincerely welcoming the guest, Speaker of Milli Majlis stressed the importance of cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, Ms. Gafarov noted activity in the Milli Majlis of the Working Group on Inter-Parliamentary Relations of Azerbaijan-Egypt.
at the meeting was also comprehensively covered by a large victory of Azerbaijan in the Patriotic War, as a result of which our country freed its lands from the Armenian occupation and restored justice and its own territorial integrity. So, our country joined a new stage of development, Sahib Gafarov said, stressing that one of the most important upcoming tasks is the restructuring of liberated land at the highest level, restoration of cities and districts of the country.
For nearly thirty years of occupation, Armenians learned serious destruction and acts of vandalism on the lands of Azerbaijan captured by them. Cities and villages, houses, as well as monuments of culture and religion, and all infrastructure were completely looted and destroyed. In addition, the Armenians mined those lands, and today the international legal principles are violated, remaining deaf to all calls to refrain from such actions. They refuse to provide Azerbaijan maps of mine fields, as a result of which many Azerbaijani civilians and servicemen died and were injured, having exploded in mines after the end of the war. Having said this, Ms. Gafarov stressed that the refusal to supply Azerbaijan with maps of mine fields by itself is a war crime.
Thanks to the sincere reception, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Azerbaijan, Adel Ibragim Ahmed Ibragim expressed satisfaction with his activities in our country and the level of interaction between the two parliaments, and stressed great progress and significant achievements of Azerbaijan in all areas. Bilateral relations deepen further with the support of the leadership of both countries, according to Ibrahim.
