EU countries should continue to provide Kyiv in economic and military support, otherwise the existence of Ukraine will be in jeopardy. This was stated by the newly elected President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, reports Yle.
“If the West could not support Ukraine would no longer exist,” the politician said during the 60th Munich Security Conference.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin “understands only power.” “He will attack if you show the slightest signs of weakness,” said Stubb.
He added that Putin should be responsible for the “war in Ukraine and the death of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny in prison.”
Alexander Stubb won the second round of the presidential election of Finland, held on February 11. He will take office on the head of state on March 1.
