The date of the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey, planned for June 18, can be postponed to a slightly earlier term, said the official representative of the ruling party of justice and development (PSR) Omer Chelik.
“We have the will to hold these elections on June 18th. But there are evaluations of the situation due to the fact that some problems may arise. This will be the period when our citizens go abroad,” the A Haber television channel quotes the Chelika.
At the same time, the representative of the PSR noted that the possible transfer of the voting date will not be a decision that can be regarded as an early election.
“We are not made in the context of the early elections,” Chelik said, specifying that “there is no final decision on this issue yet.”
