Elections of different levels started in Russia

In Russia on Friday, September 8, elections of different levels were launched as part of a single voting day (EDG).

September 10, Russia will take place in Russia. In the country, the heads of regions, deputies of the Legislative Assembly and other representatives of the authorities will be selected. In 2023, most regions hold three -day elections – from September 8 to 10, and only five entities vote will last from one to two days.

Russians will have to choose 21 governors and 20 regional parliaments. In addition, in the four constituent entities of the Russian Federation, missions of State Duma deputies will be held.

Only one day for the governor’s election will be available only in the Tyumen and Omsk regions. In the remaining 19 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the elections will be held in a three -day format.

In addition, more than 2 thousand polling stations opened in the capital. They will work for three days, from 08:00 to 20:00. Simultaneously with the opening of the “traditional” sites in Moscow, remote electronic voting started.

Residents of the capital this year choose deputies in 13 municipalities of Tinao and mayor. Now the mayor’s post in Moscow is held by Sergey Sobyanin.

It is also the first time that the vote takes place in the “four new regions” of the Russian Federation – Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Lugansk and Donetsk regions. These regions have passed under the control of the Russian Federation after the start of the military conflict in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The elections of the “governors” began there. In addition, in these regions it is necessary to choose the composition of the “parliaments”.
