The Council of the European Union (EU) approved the holding of elections to the European Parliament (EP) from June 6 to 9, 2024.
The corresponding statement was made by the chairman of the EU Sweden.
The EU member states reached a consensus regarding the election on these dates, Brussels said.
The date of the parliamentary elections was confirmed by the head of the European Parliament Robert Metsol.
In her video message, Metsola called on EU citizens to take part in the vote next year. “The world undergoes changes, and we must change with it. The EU needs reforms, and therefore it is important that every EU citizen takes part in the vote. Do not let others choose you. Vote,” said the head of the European Parliament.
