Electricity is more expensive in Armenia

The weighted average tariff for electricity in Armenia from February 1, 2022 will increase by 4.7 drams. However, for socially unprotected families, the current tariffs will continue. So, for the socially unprotected segments of the population, which make up 11% of subscribers, the tariffs will remain unchanged, and for residents with monthly consumption of up to 200 kWh, which make up 55% of subscribers, the tariff will increase by 1.5 drams / kWh. Tariffs for consumers 201-400 kWh per month, components of 25% of the number of resident subscribers, will increase by 3.5 drams / kWh, for the rest of consumers it is proposed to increase the rate of 5.5 drams / kWh.
