Elizabeth II abolished pre-Christmas family dinner due to “Oomikron”

British Queen Elizabeth II canceled the traditional pre-Christmas family dinner as a precautionary measure due to the sharp growth in the number of cases of the disease “Omicron” in the UK.

According to BBC News, the event was to take place at the beginning of the next week in Windsor Castle. Last year, it was also canceled due to COVID-19.

Traditionally, the Queen suits lunch for relatives before serving in Sandringem, where she usually holds Christmas holidays. Such events come, as a rule, not only children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Elizabeth II, but also distant relatives.

This Christmas is the first thing that Queen Elizabeth II will spend without his wife Prince Philip, who left his life in April of this year aged 99 years. They lived in marriage 73 years.
