Elman Pashayev, who defended Russian actor Mikhail Efremov in the court, regained the status of a lawyer. The lawyer told about this to the Russian publication “Secret of the company”.
According to Pashayev, he passed the test part of the exam at the end of July, and at the end of August – oral. The Ministry of Justice issued him a lawyer certificate on September 9. Pashayev noted that since the deprivation of his status in 2020, he still worked “day and night”.
According to Pashayev, during the testing he was to answer 70 questions, and he managed with the exam in 12 minutes.
The name of Elman Pashayev became widely known after the resonant case of actor Mikhail Efremov, who arranged an accident in June 2020, recalls the publication. The lawyer chose a strategy for denial of guilt, trying to prove that Efremov was not driving a car. As a result, after Efremov was sentenced to eight years, the actor refused Pashayev’s services and hired another lawyer. Pashayev himself for a year was deprived of a lawyer status: the collegium considered that he repeatedly violated professional ethics in the process of active communication with the media.
