Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), turned to the population in connection with the expected weather conditions in Azerbaijan.
The appeal says that according to the forecasts of the National Hydrometeorology Service in the coming days in the country, an increase in air temperature is expected to up to 40 °, as well as a gusty wind.
“In such weather conditions, even slight negligence or inattention leads to fires in various places, especially in open areas and in forests, also intensive operation of air conditioners increases the risk of overload on electric wires and, ultimately, short circuit. With this, the Ministry of Emergencies calls on the population to strictly comply with fire safety rules, given that the high temperature and strong wind increase the risk of fire, ”the department noted.
The ministry added that swimming in the sea in windy weather is dangerous.
