The spread of the COVID-19 virus in Azerbaijan against the backdrop of the ongoing worldwide pandemic makes the traditional celebration of Novruz this year undesirable. This is stated in the appeal of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the population of Azerbaijan in connection with the Novruz holiday.
The Ministry, in its appeal, urges the population to comply with the requirements of the special quarantine regime introduced in the country to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, spend the upcoming days off only with family members, avoid mass gatherings, observe the rules of personal hygiene and use a protective mask.
“We also remind you of the importance of strict observance of fire safety rules to prevent possible undesirable events,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
