Washington (AA) – the American technological company Emerson announced that as part of a transaction worth $ 7.2 billion will acquire the remaining shares of Aspen Technology (Aspentiech), which is engaged in the development of software.
The company’s statement reports that Emerson has reached an agreement on the purchase of Aspentiech shares at a price of $ 265 per share.
The statement states that the total value of the agreement is $ 7.2 billion. Emerson already owns approximately 57 percent of Aspentech shares. After the end of the transaction, Aspentech will become a subsidiary of Emerson.
The completion of the transaction is expected in the first half of 2025.
