President of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Emine Erdogan met with the Minister of Ecology of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the United Nations (UN) to change climate (COP29) Mukhtar Babaev.
During the meeting held in the state guest house, Babaev thanked Emine Erdogan for the meeting.
Having reported that as part of a visit to Turkey, they will also meet with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Changes, as well as the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Babaev expressed satisfaction with close cooperation with Turkey on ecology issues And in the context of the Cop29 summit.
According to him, they would like to ensure environmental coordination in closer contact with Turkish states. The minister noted that they would like to take advantage of Emine Erdogan experience in the UN and at the global level.
Emine Erdogan, in turn, congratulated Babaeva on COP29 and wished him success, emphasizing that Turkey would support the fraternal country of Azerbaijan, using all its capabilities and experience.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Ecology, Urbanization and Climate Climate of Turkey Mehmet Ozhaseki and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the main negotiator from the presiding side of COP29 Yalchin Rafiev.
