“The resistance initiated by Malcolm Iksa was the first spark of global transformation”

Emine Erdogan, in her publication on the social network, expressed satisfaction with a meeting with the daughter of a Muslim human rights activist, political leader and writer Malcolm Iksa, Ilyaso Shahbaz.

“Resistance, courageously initiated by Malcolm Ix in the fight against racism and Islamophobia, was the first spark of global transformation. I hope that the faith and determination of Malcolm Ixes will reach all young people around the world thanks to the work of the educational center, which has become a symbol of this understanding,” – wrote to Emine Erdogan.

Malcolm X – a person who fights for the rights of minorities in the country where racial division flourished.

He came to the understanding that all people are brothers, and there is no superiority in a person of the same skin in front of another, through Islam. The letter “X” in his name means the English reduction from the prefix “ex”-former: ex-Christian, ex-rab, ex-negr.

Malcolm X – the nee Malcolm Littl – a fighter for freedom, equality and justice, a hero for many peoples in the postcolonial period. For many, he still remains “very angry black” – a stereotype that was fixed after him back in the 60s.

Malcolm X understood that he was under the sight, thanks to the influence that the African American community was on.

As early as February 14, 1965, a bomb was thrown into his house in New York, but fortunately, no one was injured.

A week later, during a performance in the Manhattan Dance Hall, Odubon in Harlem, X subjected to armed attack right in front of a pregnant wife and a 7-year-old daughter. Having received at least 20 gunshot wounds, X died on the way to the hospital.

It never turned out who exactly was the customer of the murder. Three criminals, shooting activists, were sentenced to life imprisonment. Later, the innocence of the two prisoners in the case of the murder of Malcolm Ixa became clear.

Malcolm X in 1963 began working with writer Alex Haley on his autobiography.

The charismatic fighter for justice and freedom today lies in a modest grave in the Fernkliff cemetery in Hartsdele, while his ideas and struggle are still relevant.
