The wife of Turkish President Emine Erdogan wished success to the first Turkish astronaut Alper Goseravja, who will go to the International Space Station as part of the European Mission Axiom-3.
“I sincerely congratulate the Alper Geezeravja, who will make the first space journey in the history of Turkey as part of the National Space Program. I wish him success in his endeavors at the International Space Station,” wrote the first lady in her account on the social network X.
She called the flight into space of the first astronaut from Turkey an event causing a sense of “pride and happiness” for all citizens of the country.
“This is a big event for all of us. We achieve another cherished goal,” said Emine Erdogan.
The first lady of Turkey also expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in the preparation of this “historical journey.”
On the night of January 17 to 18, the Turkish astronaut Alpers Goseravja will go to the International Space Station as part of the European Mission Axiom-3.
The AXIOM-3 crew launch will be carried out on board the Falcon 9 rockets at 01:11 by Turkish time.
