Employees of Logopedic Center, who were mocking children, admitted to deed

The Committee against the torture of Azerbaijan has monitored the temporary maintenance site of the police of the Nizaminsky district of the city of Baku.

According to Haqqin.az in the Committee, monitoring was carried out with the joint participation of the Chairman of the Organization of Tural Huseynov and his deputy Elchin Shirinov.

During the monitoring, the members of the Committee asked about 9 people detained as suspects under various articles. It was noted that among them were the director of the Center for Logopedic and Psychological Rehabilitation of Mehnur Nuran Gadjizade, suspected of praising in relation to children with physical restrictions, her assistant Sabina Aliyarbayly and psychologist Aitaj Kyazymly.

“During the monitoring, an examination of the conditions of their maintenance was carried out. In an interview with them, each of them noted that he regrets the deed. During a conversation with the members of the Committee A. Kyazymly, she said that at the time of the torture was in a state of affect”, – noted in the statement of the committee against torture.

The message also emphasizes that all detainees were provided with lawyers.

Recall that on September 2, law enforcement agencies were detained by the employees of the Center for Logopedic and Psychological Rehabilitation of Mehnur – Director of Nuran Hajizade, Psychologist Aitaj Kyazemly and assistant director of the Center Sabina Aliyarbayli. The investigative department of the Nizaminsky district police department opened a criminal case under Article 133 (infliction of grave consequences) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Previously, video frames were distributed on social networks, where employees of the Center for speech therapy and psychological rehabilitation are mocking children. In law enforcement agencies, the issue was taken under control, an investigation was launched against a private speech therapy center. The spreading video frames are studied by the working subgroup of the commission on cases and the protection of minors. The commission includes representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General, the State Committee on the problems of family, women and children, public organizations and other government structures. After the investigation is completed, the commission will publish information about the results.
