Erdogan: Abolition Of Sanctions Against Syria And Leadership Of Italy In This Process Will Benefit This Process

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Italy Prime Minister Georgia Melony.

According to the statement published by the Communications Office of the Administration of the President of Turkey, during the conversation the parties discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Italy, regional and global issues.

President Erdogan noted with satisfaction that last year Türkiye and Italy have reached bilateral trade in $ 32 billion. According to him, this figure can be increased due to the development of trade and investment relations. Türkiye is in the understanding of the expansion of cooperation with Italy in many areas, in particular in the defense industry and energy.

The president emphasized that it is important to take measures to restore Syria without wasting time. In his opinion, the abolition of sanctions against Syria and the leadership of Italy in this process will benefit this process.
