Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) fruitful negotiations with the leaders of Azerbaijan, China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Russia and Iran, as well as the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and India.
“I hope that our negotiations and contacts will lead to beneficial results,” said the Turkish leader.
He said that he discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin the corridors for the export of grain from the territory of Ukraine. According to the Turkish president, they agree with Putin that agricultural products should go primarily to poor countries.
Erdogan expressed the hope that in the near future it would be possible to debug the work of these corridors “to the ideal.” He noted that Ankara is in contact on this issue with both Moscow and Kyiv and that there are still no serious problems when discussing routes for the export of grain.
