Erdogan: After election, confidence in economic stability of Turkey has strengthened

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took part in the dinner of the Turkish-American Business Council (TAİK) in New York.

Speaking to representatives of the US business world, Erdogan said:

“Last year, the United States became the 2nd Land of Export and the 5th Import Country in Turkey’s economy. According to the results of 2022, the volume of bilateral trade exceeded $ 32 billion.”

The president noted that after the elections, confidence in the economic stability of Turkey has strengthened.

Erdogan continued with the following words: “We strive to eliminate the factors that enhance inflation using the tools of fiscal policy and income policy without prejudice to economic growth.”

“We strive to create a stable climate for growth using our policy, in which investments, employment, production and export are priority,” he said.

Touching upon relations between the United States and Turkey in the field of the military-industrial complex, Erdogan expressed hope for the expansion of cooperation.

“We are counting on the speedy elimination of obstacles to the development of our cooperation in the defense industry,” the head of the Turkish state emphasized.
