British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Turkish President Recep Erdogan agreed to jointly work on unlocking grain supply channels from Ukraine. This was reported by TASS with reference to the commander of the office of the head of the British government following the results of his telephone conversation with the leader of Turkey.
The message emphasizes that Johnson welcomed the “leading role” of Turkey in resolving a crisis in Ukraine. In addition, the British prime minister and Erdogan agreed to work on lowering world food prices, specified on Downing Street.
During this conversation, Johnson called on Erdogan to resolve contradictions with Finland and Sweden until the June summit of NATO and promised to provide the necessary support in this matter, noting that “Finland and Sweden would be a valuable addition to the alliance.”
