Erdogan: Ankara Does Not Want Shocks In Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the current situation in Syria, where the successful occurrence of opposition Damascus of armed groups continues.

The head of state expressed the hope that the onset of the opposition would not lead to cataclysms in a neighboring country.

“Idlib, Hama, Homs and the goal, of course, is Damascus. The opposition march in Syria continues. We hope that it will do without shocks and disasters,” said, in particular, the Turkish leader.

He recalled that Ankara turned to Bashar Assad with an appeal to discuss the prospects of settlement in Syria together, but did not receive a positive answer. “We turned to Assad with an appeal to determine the future of Syria together. Unfortunately, a positive answer was not received to this call,” said Erdogan.

Speaking of the situation in Lebanon, he noted that this country was in an extremely difficult situation. “Everyone around in ruins. Requests for help are received. While the rest of the world is silent, we will continue to provide our help,” the Turkish president said.
