President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made an appeal on the occasion of the 84th anniversary of the entry of the Hatai into the Turkish Republic.
“Congratulations on the 84th anniversary of the reunion of Hatai with his homeland,” Erdogan wrote on Twitter.
The head of state paid tribute to everyone who, led by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, contributed to this national business.
The Turkish leader called Hatai a region, which “was a witness to the intersection of civilizations for centuries.”
The president emphasized that Turkey authorities make all the necessary efforts to eliminate the consequences of destructive February earthquakes in the province of Hatai.
According to him, the historical part of the city of Hatai, which suffered from a natural disaster, will also be restored as soon as possible with the preservation of its identity.
