Turkey plans to connect gas from the Black Sea to its power system already in 2023, said the President of the country Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In turn, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Fatih Donmèz noted that, given the new production volumes on the Black Sea, the country in the future will give preference to short-term and medium-term contracts in order not to violate the balance of supply and demand.
“Give God, in 2023 we will connect gas from the Black Sea to our power system,” said Erdogan, his words lead RIA Novosti.
Over the past year, Turkey made several openings of gas reserves in the Black Sea, which is currently estimated at 540 billion cubic meters.
