Turkey is strongly tuned to creating a 30-kilometer security zone near the border with Syria, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday.
“I always say that the place and date of such operations are not called. At the same time, goals are known, based on the Sochi Memorandum, the agreement on which we reached with Putin. I repeatedly reminded him of this,” Erdogan said to journalists. Bearing in mind on Sunday, a telephone conversation with a Russian colleague.
“Our goal is known – the creation of a 30 -kilometer security line south of our borders, from where, unfortunately, a terrorist threat comes. Recently, it has increased significantly, we cannot silently silent in such a situation,” said Turkish President.
