Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the country would not turn away from Afghanistan, reports Anadolu.
“We want to see in Afghanistan a durable world and stability. Turkey will not turn back to the Afghan people,” said Erdogan, speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary Union of Members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
According to him, after the Taliban arrival in Afghanistan, Turkey sent broad assistance to Afghans. He also added that countries such as Turkey, who are the neighbors of the “crisis” countries, carry heavy burden due to migration problems.
