Turkey has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, offering guests of the country a variety of opportunities for health, cultural, religious, winter and natural tourism.
This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Rixos hotel in Istanbul.
He emphasized the need to expand the conditions for year -round tourism in Turkey.
President Erdogan emphasized that the development of tourism in the country is facilitated by modern infrastructure, including airports and motorways.
According to Erdogan, the largest Turkish metropolis Istanbul turned into one of the leading world centers of cultural and congress tourism.
“We turned Istanbul into one of the most popular areas for cultural and congress tourism,” said the head of state.
The Turkish leader emphasized the significance of the city in the world stage.
He recalled that Istanbul has become the venue for major international events, including NATO summit, the UN humanitarian summit and the 13th Islamic Summit.
The Head of State also indicated the support of investment in the country’s economy, including foreign ones. “For us there is no division into local or foreign investors. There are investors who contribute to the Turkish economy,” he said.
