Erdogan: Türkiye Intends To Strengthen Navy

Turkey realizes that in order to ensure a peaceful life in the country, it needs to have a powerful and effective naval fleet both in its seas and in remote regions. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at a festive ceremony in Aksaz.

According to him, Ankara plans to put into operation domestic submarines Hizirrei̇s in 2025, and Muratrei̇s – in 2026.

“Turkey intends to strengthen the power of its Navy by putting into operation all submarines developed as part of the project being implemented by 2029. Through the Mi̇lden project, Turkey plans to achieve the goal for almost 138 years – to build its own submarine”, -he said.

The Head of State noted that over the past 22 years, Türkiye has achieved revolutionary successes in the field of defense industry.

“Hürjet, Kizilelma, Tb3, ANKA3 and aircraft carrier of Turkish development will serve to protect the rights and interests of Turkey in the international arena. The help of the TF-2000 destroyer with the air defense system, the construction of which will begin at the Istanbul shipyard, we will gradually ensure the air defense of our air defense system countries from the sea, ”said the Turkish leader.
